Olawale Tunde Fasanya

Mr. Olawale Tunde Fasanya is currently the Director, Enterprise Development and Promotion of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). Before attaining this current position, he was at various times, Special Assistant to the Director General, Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Ag. Director, Planning; and Director, Strategic Planning, Policy and coordination of SMEDAN. Withing the period of June 2013 and September 2014 he was secondment to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) as Technical Assistant to the Executive Secretary and Acting General Manager, Nigerian Content Department.

Before the establishment of SMEDAN, Mr Fasanya worked as Special Assistant to the Hon. Minister of Solid Minerals (Feb. 2002 – May 2003); Personal Assistant to Hon. Minister of State for Defence (Jan. 1999 – Feb. 2002).

Mr. Fasanya holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University (1994); Bachelor of Arts, English and Literature Studies from the University of Ife (1985); Advance Certificate in Public Relations; Diploma in Market Oriented Small Business Development Services from the ILO Training Institute, Turin, Italy, (2008) and a Certificate in Personal Leadership and Success in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education, Columbia University, New York, USA (2014). He is happily married and blessed with children.
